Hay alimento en Egipto
Génesis 42:2

El hambre apretaba a todas las naciones y parecía inevitable que Jacob y su familia sufriría mucha escasez; pero el Dios de la providencia, quien nunca se olvida de los sujetos elegidos por amor, había almacenado un granero por su pueblo. Había avisado a los egipcios de la escasez y los guió a atesorar los cereales en los años de abundancia. Jacob no esperaba la liberación por Egipto pero había alimento guardado por él.

Creyente, aunque aparentemente todas las cosas se han puesto en contra de ti, puedes estar seguro que Dios ha hecho una reserva para ti. En el rol de tus dolencias hay una cláusula salvadora. De algún modo Él te liberará y en algún lugar Él proveerá por ti. Tal vez el barrio de donde vendrá tu rescate será el menos esperado pero, con toda certeza vendrá en tu extremidad, y magnificarás al Señor.

Si los hombres no te dan de comer, los cuervos lo harán; si la tierra no da el trigo, el cielo dejará caer el maná. Entonces cobra ánimo y descansa tranquilamente en El Señor. Dios podría hacer el sol levantarse en el oeste si desea y hacer la fuente de la angustia el canal de la delicia. El alimento en Egipto estaba completamente en las manos del querido José. El abría y cerraba los graneros según su voluntad. Entonces las riquezas de la providencia están todas en el poder absoluto de nuestro Señor Jesús quien las dispensará generosamente a Su pueblo.

José estaba completamente listo a dar alivio a su familia y Jesús es fiel y constante en su cuidado de Sus hermanos. Nuestra parte es buscar el apoyo que ha sido proveído por nosotros; no debemos sentarnos en desesperación. La oración no llevará a la presencia de Jesús, nuestro hermano real; una vez delante de Su trono solo queda pedir y poseer. Sus reservas no están agotadas, hay alimento todavía. Su corazón no está duro. Él nos dará el alimento.

Famine pinched all the nations, and it seemed inevitable that Jacob and his family should suffer great want; but the God of providence, who never forgets the objects of electing love, had stored a granary for His people by giving the Egyptians warning of the scarcity, and leading them to treasure up the grain of the years of plenty. Little did Jacob expect deliverance from Egypt, but there was the corn in store for him.
Believer, though all things are apparently against you, rest assured that God has made a reservation on your behalf; in the roll of your griefs there is a saving clause. Somehow He will deliver you, and somewhere He will provide for you. The quarter from which your rescue shall arise may be a very unexpected one, but help will assuredly come in your extremity, and you shall magnify the name of the Lord.
If men do not feed you, ravens shall; and if earth yield not wheat, heaven shall drop with manna. Therefore be of good courage, and rest quietly in the Lord. God can make the sun rise in the west if He pleases, and make the source of distress the channel of delight. The corn in Egypt was all in the hands of the beloved Joseph; he opened or closed the granaries at will. And so the riches of providence are all in the absolute power of our Lord Jesus, who will dispense them liberally to His people.
Joseph was abundantly ready to relieve his own family; and Jesus is unceasing in His faithful care for His brethren. Our business is to go after the help which is provided for us: we must not sit still in despondency. Prayer will bear us soon into the presence of our Jesus, our royal Brother: once before His throne we have only to ask and have. His stores are not exhausted; there is corn still: His heart is not hard, He will give the corn to us.
