Communion La Santa Cena

We had communion last night at the church in Surco. Communion is one of the two ordinances that Jesus left for the church, the other being baptism. I was thinking about the communion service when everything was finished and everyone had gone home. How many times have I celebrated communion in 29 years of being a Christian? I can’t remember but I do know that communion has always been a way to get back to basics. Celebrating communion is an opportunity to remember that we have to keep the main thing the main thing, a chance to maintain or reestablish that right relationship with the Lord. It’s so important to remember Jesus in the middle of all the “ministry”. It’s great to remember that He’s coming back.

Celebramos la santa cena anoche aquí en Surco. La santa cena es una de las dos ordenanzas que Jesús nos dejó para la iglesia, la otra siendo el bautismo. Después de terminar todo y cuando todos habían regresado a casa yo seguía pensando en la santa cena. ¿Cuántas veces he celebrado la santa cena en 29 años de ser cristiano? No recuerdo, pero si, se que siempre ha sido una manera de volver a lo fundamental. Celebrar la santa cena es una oportunidad de recordar que tenemos que mantener lo principal lo principal. Una oportunidad de mantener o reestablecer una relación correcta con el Señor. Es muy importante recordar a Jesús en medio de todo “el ministerio”. Es lindo recordar que viene Jesús pronto también.
