Marco Tiene Hambre Marco's Hungry

Mateo 6:31-33
No os afanéis, pues, diciendo: ¿Qué comeremos, o qué beberemos, o qué vestiremos? Porque los gentiles buscan todas estas cosas; pero vuestro Padre celestial sabe que tenéis necesidad de todas estas cosas. Mas buscad primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas os serán añadidas.

Terminando nuestro tiempo devocional esta mañana con mis hijos, Marco (mi hijo) dijo que tenía bastante hambre. Me preguntó acerca del desayuno. Marco es como su papá en este sentido… que le gusta tomar un buen desayuno. Le dije que el desayuno no estaba listo y que quería que avanzara con sus tareas primero, tenía mucha tarea en su clase de chino mandarín. Ahora Marco tenía que orar, y comenzó su oración así, “Querido Dios, te doy gracias por la comida.” Hay muchas enseñanzas que podríamos sacar de lo que dijo Marco. Una enseñanza es lo siguiente. Marco no dudó que iba a tomar desayuno. Aunque el desayuno no estaba allí en la mesa todavía, aunque Marco estaba con hambre todavía, en vez de quejarse, simplemente dio gracias por lo que él sabía que iba a llegar. Así debemos confiar en Dios y orar dando gracias por lo que vendrá. No tenemos que estar preocupados, y no tenemos que intentar conseguir lo que Dios nos dará gratuitamente, si simplemente confiamos en él. ¿Le has dado gracias a Dios por las cosas que necesitas y que necesitarás? Puedes confiar en él.


Mateo 6:31-33
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ “For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.[1]

As we finished our devotional time with the children this morning, Marco (my son) said that he was really hungry. He asked me about breakfast. Marco is like his father in the sense that he likes to eat a good breakfast. I told him that the breakfast wasn’t ready and that I wanted him to get a start on him homework first. He had a lot of homework in his mandarin Chinese class. Now it was time for Marco to pray. He began his prayer like this, “Dear God, thanks for the food.” There are a lot of teachings that we could get out of this experience. One of the things we can learn is the following. Marco didn’t doubt that he was going to eat breakfast. The breakfast wasn’t there on the table yet. Marco was still hungry but instead of complaining he simply gave thanks to God for what was coming. We don’t have to worry and we don’t have to try to obtain what God will give us freely if we will just trust Him. Have you given thanks to the Lord today knowing that He will give you what you need today and in the future? You can trust Him.
