Comparando a Sansón y Esteban Comparing Samson and Stephen

Acts 7:58

I wrote about Samson here in the blog yesterday. We’re going to talk about his life this morning in the church in Surco. He was a man that started out with the power of God, he had good parents, he was a nazarite, etc. Samson didn’t take advantage of the gifts that God gave him. Instead of serving God with the gifts God gave him, he used those gifts to attain fame and to become the life of the party. This evening we’re going to study Stephen’s life. What a contrast. Stephen started his ministry helping to solve a problem in the church. He didn’t have a glorious job. His job didn’t require a lot of talent. He served the widows of the church. Stephen was faithful with the little job that God gave him and ended up being used of God in a great way. The amount of talent you have isn’t important. The gifts that you have aren’t either. God is the one that gives gifts according to His will. What is important is serving God with what He has given you. Due to Stephen’s testimony the word of God was sewn in the Apostle Paul’s heart. The rest is history.
