La Recompensa The Reward

Muchas Gracias.

Gloria and Oninxha are making chocotejas to help raise money for our missionary trips. That chocolate is so delicious! Thanks a Lot.

Matthew 10:41
“He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

Jesus teaches us a vital principle of the kingdom here. In Jesus time the apostles would be traveling and ministering quite a bit. They needed a place to stay and place for people to look for them and find them. In the book of Acts we see that Peter was staying at the tanners house when Cornelius’ men went to look for him, they new where to find him because the tanner had a part in Peter’s ministry.
The tanner will be rewarded by the Father. Hospitality, sharing financially with those that minister full time or part time, praying for ministries is so important. Not all of us have the same calling. Not all of us have the same opportunities, but all of us can share in the rewards that those that minister will receive. Receiving a prophet means showing him hospitality, sharing in that prophet’s work by providing a roof over his head and maybe something to eat. Receiving a prophet’s reward means being involved in the prophet’s ministry in practical ways.
Over the last 8 ½ years since Betty and I moved to Peru there have been so many people that have been a vital part of the ministry here. Humanly speaking there is no way that we would have been able to do what’s been done without the help of people in Peru and in the U.S. People have prayed for us, they’ve sent us notes to encourage us, supported the work financially, witnessed to others, ministered to children, done building maintenance, sold chocolates, and done so many other things. Each one will receive a prophet’s reward. God is faithful.
God bless those of you that have been a part of it all that God has done and is going to do.
