Mateo 13:3-9 Y les habló muchas cosas por parábolas, diciendo: He aquí, el sembrador salió a sembrar. Y mientras sembraba, parte de la semilla cayó junto al camino; y vinieron las aves y la comieron. Parte cayó en pedregales, donde no había mucha tierra; y brotó pronto, porque no tenía profundidad de tierra; pero salido el sol, se quemó; y porque no tenía raíz, se secó. Y parte cayó entre espinos; y los espinos crecieron, y la ahogaron. Pero parte cayó en buena tierra, y dio fruto, cuál a ciento, cuál a sesenta, y cuál a treinta por uno. El que tiene oídos para oír, oiga.
Estábamos alabando al Señor anoche en el culto cuando creo que el Señor me habló, y me dijo que tenía que orar acerca de la tierra aquí en El Perú. Pienso que la tierra aquí necesita más preparación todavía. He visto que muchos reciben la palabra de Dios en las circunstancias que Jesús describe en el pasaje que acabas de leer.
Algunos son duros. No hay mejor forma de explicarlo. Nacieron en familias que alaban a ídolos y van a morir haciendo lo mismo. Lo poco que reciben de la palabra es comido por el enemigo al toque. Sus corazones son tan duros como piedras. La semilla queda allí en las piedras hasta que llegan las aves y las comen. El problema es que aman su pecado.
Algunos reciben la palabra con ánimo. Son aquellos que están buscando una salida a sus problemas, una forma de solucionar su dilema. Buscan algo nuevo. Cuando llega la presión y tienen que decidir si van a seguir a Cristo, o hacer lo que manda la familia, cuando la batalla se calienta o tal vez el gimnasio o la oficina se pone caliente la palabra se marchita. No quieren seguir a Jesús de verdad. No quieren echar raíces en Jesús y establecerse en la fe. Su experiencia fue algo emocional y nada más.
Hay aquellos que parecen crecer pero el enemigo sabe que si tienen que decidir entre buscar primero el reino de Dios o dejar de preocuparse por esta vida, si tienen que decidir entre confiar en Jesús y encontrar su seguridad en él, prefieren confiar en el jefe. Salen a comprar un poco de seguridad en el mercado; prefieren lo que pueden comprar con un pedacito de plástico. La satisfacción no dura mucho y el precio es alto, pero por lo menos la satisfacción viene en un paquete que se puede tocar, y es algo inmediato.
Gloria a Dios que existen aquellos que reciben la palabra de Dios y dejan la palabra producir el fruto en sus vidas. Verdaderamente reciben la palabra en sus corazones. La palabra llega a ser parte de ellos. Ya no están siendo conformados a este siglo sino están siendo transformados por la renovación de sus mentes. Permanecen en el Señor y Su palabra permanece en ellos y así llevan mucho fruto.
¿En que condición está tu corazón?
¿En que condición está la tierra donde estás sembrando la palabra?
Nuestras oraciones preparan la tierra para que cuando predicamos, la palabra de Dios pueda llevar mucho fruto. Oremos para que la tierra pueda ser preparada.
Matthew 13:3-9 Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow.“And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. “Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. “But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. “And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. “But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” [1]
We were worshipping the Lord last night in our evening service when I believe that the Lord spoke to me and directed me to pray about the soil here in Peru. I really feel that we the soil still needs to be prepared here. I see so many receive the word in these circumstances.
Some are just hard. They were born in families that worship idols and they want to die that way. The little bit of the word that they receive gets snatched away by the enemy right away because it never penetrates there hearts at all. Their hearts are as hard as rocks. The seed just lays there on the surface until the birds come along and take it away.
Some receive the word with excitement. They’re the ones that are looking to an answer to their problem, a way out of their dilemma. Their looking for something new. When the pressure comes and they have to decide to really follow the Lord or do what their family says, when they’re in the heat of the battle or the heat of the gymnasium or the heat of the office the word withers away. They really don’t want to follow Jesus. They don’t want to be rooted and established. Theirs was an emotional experience.
Some seem to grow but the enemy knows that if they have to decide whether to seek God’s kingdom first and stop worrying they prefer worrying. If they have to decide whether to trust in the Lord and find their security in Him they prefer to trust their boss. They go out and buy their security at the store; they prefer what they can obtain with a piece of plastic. The satisfaction that comes from these products doesn’t last long and sure costs a lot but at least it comes in a package and you can touch it. It’s something you can get immediately.
Praise God for those that receive the word and allow it to produce fruit in their lives. They really and truly receive the word into their hearts. It becomes a part of them. They are no longer being conformed to this world. They are being transformed by the renewing of their minds. They abide in the Lord and His words abide in them and therefore they bear fruit. What kind of soil is your heart? What kind of soil are you sewing the word in? Our prayers prepare the soil so that the word we preach can produce good fruit. Let’s pray for the soil to be prepared.
