¿Escuchan? Do You Hear?

1 Reyes 11:9-10
“Y se enojó Jehová contra Salomón, por cuanto su corazón se había apartado de Jehová Dios de Israel, que se le había aparecido dos veces, y le había mandado acerca de esto, que no siguiese a dioses ajenos; mas él no guardó lo que le mandó Jehová.”

Salomón fue un rey de Israel que comenzó tan bien es su camino con Dios. Dios le habló dos veces personalmente. Era muy sabio, tenía recursos y vivía en tiempos de paz, pero terminó mal porque no hizo caso a Dios cuando Dios le habló de las tentaciones que iba a enfrentar.

El Señor es tan lleno de gracia. Él nos avisa de antemano cuando sabe que tendremos que enfrentar una tentación. Desafortunadamente, muchas veces le decimos al Señor, “Gracias, pero no es un problema. ¡No te preocupes Señor! Estaré bien porque nunca haría algo así. Dios no habla por gusto cuando nos avisa de algo. Él nos conoce mejor que nos conocemos. Cuando lees Su palabra o cuando vas a la iglesia, presta atención. Tal vez Dios te querrá avisar acerca de una tentación que tendrás que enfrentar en el futuro. Asegúrate que la palabra caiga en buena tierra. (Mateo 13:1-23)


1 Kings 11:9-10
“ So the Lord became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the Lord God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice, and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; but he did not keep what the Lord had commanded.”[1]

Solomon was a king of Israel that started off so well in his walk with God. God spoke with him personally two times. He was wise, he had resources and lived in times of peace but he finished badly because he didn’t pay attention to God when God spoke with him about the temptations that he would have to face.

The Lord is so gracious to warn us ahead of time when He know that we will face a temptation. Unfortunately, a lot of times we tell the Lord, “Thanks, but that’s not a big problem for me. I’ll be okay because I would never do that!” The Lord isn’t wasting His breath when He warns us. He knows us better than we know ourselves. As you read God’s word and as you go to church, pay attention! God may want to warn you about some temptation in your future. Make sure that the seed of the word of God falls on good soil. (Matthew 13:1-23)
