The Word of God La Palabra de Dios

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”
John 8:31
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.[1]

Mark 8:38
“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
[2]

I am deeply saddened by the tendency in the modern churches to neglect God’s word. For so many people experience has become more important than the simple truth that we find in God’s love letter to man. Due to this fact many churches are abandoning a deep teaching of the word of God and opting for a Sunday morning show with a sermonette. They make sure that they don’t offend anyone. The word of God is what changes lives. It’s not about coming up with a better show than the Sunday before. It’s about knowing what God says and putting it into practice. Don’t forget to really study the Bible. Don’t twist the obvious meaning because you’re uncomfortable with what it says. Live by it. Let it become a part of you.

“The word of God is like a mirror in that it shows us who we really are. It is like a map because it shows us where we need to go. It is like a portrait for it paints for us a picture of who God is.” [David Wallace]

Juan 8:31
Dijo entonces Jesús a los judíos que habían creído en él: Si vosotros permaneciereis en mi palabra, seréis verdaderamente mis discípulos;

Marcos 8:38

David Wallace.
