La lluvia The Rain

Hace un poco mas de una semana escribí diciendo que no sabíamos que esperar en Villa Maria los sábados. El sábado pasado fue diferente porque comenzó a llover en la noche el jueves y llovió el viernes y el sábado en la noche también. El anfiteatro estaba lleno de agua que apestaba horrible. Además no hubo mucha gente en el parque por las lluvias. No sabíamos que hacer pero pasamos a otro lado donde la municipalidad había puesto una carpa por un evento. Los oficiales nos permitieron usarla para nuestra reunión. Salimos a invitar a la gente. Algunos chicos del grupo de Maryland se encontraron con unos chicos practicando skate. Comenzaron a practicar con ellos y conversar. Me acerqué u comencé a hablar con tres chicos. Uno, que se llama Edgar estaba interesado y me preguntó acerca de la ciencia y el cristianismo. Hablamos un rato acerca del tema y me pidió mi e-mail. Ya me ha enviado un mensaje y le mandé información. Si no fuera por la lluvia hubiéramos estado ocupados en el mismo programa de siempre pero la lluvia nos mandó cambiar de plan y así, no solo predicamos la palabra a Edgar y sus amigos, sino a varias personas más. Señor, gracias por la lluvia.
Oren por Edgar y sus amigos. Hace tiempo he estado orando para poder alcanzar a esos chicos por allí que siempre practican skate pero tenía que esperar el momento del Señor. Gracias Señor por la oportunidad.


A little more than a week ago I mentioned that we didn’t know what to expect in Villa Maria on Saturdays. This Saturday was different because it started to rain on Thursday night. It rained on Friday and Saturday night too. The amphitheatre was filled with water that smelled terrible and in addition to that there were only a few people in the park due to the rain. We didn’t know what to do but the officials let us use a tent that was set up for another event. We decided to go out and invite the people. A few of the kids from Maryland are skateboarders. They met some other kids riding their boards in the park and started riding with them and talking. I joined in the conversations and ended up sharing the gospel with three guys. One is named Edgar and he was very interested. He started to ask me about how Christianity relates to science and then he asked for my e-mail. He has already sent me a message and I have sent him some information. If it weren’t for the rain we would have never talked to the guys because we would have been busy with our normal program. The rain sent us out with another plan and we were able to preach to Edgar and his friends and several other people too. Thanks for the rain Lord.

Pray for Edgar and his friends. I started to pray for the skateboarders in the park a long time ago but had to wait on the Lord’s timing to share with them. Thanks for the opportunity Lord.
