Gossip El Chisme

Mildred, the church gossip and self-appointed arbiter of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose into other member's private lives. Church members were unappreciative of her activities, but feared her enough to keep their silence.
She made a mistake, however, when she accused George, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his pickup truck parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon.
She commented to George and others that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing.
George, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just walked away. He didn't explain, defend, or deny; he said nothing.
Later that evening, George quietly parked his pickup in front of Mildred's house...and left it there all night!

Mildred, la chismosa y auto proclamada arbitrio de las morales de la iglesia, seguía metiéndose en las vidas privadas de los miembros de la iglesia. A los miembros, no les gustaba para nada sus actividades pero le temían suficientemente para guardar silencio.
Mildred se equivocó cuando le acusó a Jorge un miembro nuevo de ser alcohólico después de ver su camioneta estacionada en la playa del único bar del pueblo una tarde. Mildred le hizo un comentario a Jorge diciendo que viendo la camioneta allí todo el mundo iba a saber lo que Jorge estaba haciendo.
Jorge, siendo hombre de pocas palabras, le miró por un momento y simplemente se fue caminando. No explicó nada, no se defendió, no negó nada. No dijo nada.
Mas tarde en la misma noche Jorge estacionó su camioneta sin hacer ruido en la puerta de la casa de Mildred… ¡ y la dejó allí toda la noche!
