Decidí poner mas fotos de la Escuela Bíblica de Verano aquí para que puedan tener una idea mayor de lo que pasó en Ica. Tal vez podrías ver las caras de las personas y orar por algunas. Estamos orando por el grupo que está haciendo la escuela in Cañete esta semana también.

I decided to put some more photos of the Vacation Bible School in Ica here so that you´ll have a better idea of what happened. Maybe you could take a few moments to look at some of the facs of the people that were involved and pray for them. We´re praying for the group that´s in Cañete this week teaching the VBS too.

Alabanzas y Canciones Divertidas. Praise Songs and Fun Songs.

Una parte importante de la Escuela Bíblica de Verano es la música. Enseñamos canciones de alabanza y canciones divertidas también. Una de las favoritas es "El Sapo".

One of the important parts of Vacation Bible School is the music. We taught praise songs and fun songs. One of the favorites is "El Sapo", "The Frog" in english.

Tiempo Para Estudiar la Bíblia. Time for Bible Study.

Los niños estudiaron la Biblia cada día. Usamos la Biblia, hojas de repaso con tareas y el flanelografo. Los niños se portaron muy bien y lo mas importante es que aprendieron.

The children studied the Bible each day. We used the Bible, review sheets with questions and a flannelgraph. The children were very well behaved and most importantly, they learned.

Los Adultos Querían Escuchar También. The Adults Wanted to Hear Too.

Mientras los niños estudiaban en la clase los adultos escucharon atentamente al evangelio. Gracias Señor por permitirnos ministrar a ellos también.

While the children studied in their class, the adults listened to the gospel attentively. Thanks Lord for allowing us to minister to them as well.

Los niños hicieron manualidades cada día en Ica y en La Tinguiña... algo divirtido que hacer en el verano.

The children did crafts each day in Ica and in La Tinguiña... something fun to do in the summertime.

Los niños disfrutaton mucho la oportunidad de repasar la historia bíblica coloreando una hora acerca del tema.

The children enjoyed the opportunity to review the Bible story coloring a page that had to do with the theme.

Ica, Mas de lo que Esperamos. Ica, More Than We Expected

Ya terminamos con la Escuela Bíblica de Verano en Ica. Estamos muy contentos. No sabíamos que esperar en el colegio donde nos reunimos porque no hubo mucho tiempo para invitar a los niños. No tenemos mucho tiempo ministrando en la ciudad tampoco. Llegaron 30 niños mas o menos y fue lindo ver que estaban con muchas ganas de aprender la palabra. Ya nos han dado sus e-mails para que podamos avisarles de mas cosas en el futuro. Mientras la mayoria de los de Koinonia Surco ministraban a los niños, Americo compartía la palabra de Dios con los adultos. Fue un tiempo edificante para todos. Muchas gracias a Mario, Carolina, Lucha, la familia Palomino y Zumiki (son de la iglesia de Ica) también por su colaboración. Ahora tenemos que orar para saber que es lo que Dios querrá que hagamos como el siguiente paso. Oren con nosotros por favor.

We finished the Vacation Bible School in Ica. We´re very happy. We didn´t know what to expect regarding the school were we met because we didn´t have a lot of time to invite children from the neighborhood. We haven´t been ministering in the area for very long either. Approximately 30 children attended each morning and they were very interested in learning the word of God. They´ve given us their e-mails so that we can let them know about future events as well. While the majority of the team from Koinonia Surco ministered to the children, Americo shared the gospel with the adults. It was a very edifying time for everyone involved. Many thanks to Mario, Carolina, Lucha, la familia Palomino, and Zumiki (they´re from the church in Ica) for their help. Now we want to pray to know what the next step that God will have us take is. Pray with us about this please.

La Lluvia y La Bendición. The Rain and the Blessing

Ica es una ciudad en el desierto del Perú pero cuando hicimos la escuela bíblica de verano llovió mucho. No esperabamos eso pero todo salió bien. Los del grupo usaron bolsas de plástico para no mojarse mucho y seguieron ministrando. Llegaron los niños igual y todo fue una gran bendición. Según mi opinión salió mejor que esperamos. Los niños aprendieron, el grupo trabajó con mucha unidad y el nombre del Señor fue glorificado. Fue lindo ver como las damas del barrio también participaron. Están comprendiendo mas de la palabra cada vez. Sigamos orando por Ica y por el barrio de La Tinguiña.

Ica is a city in the desert of Peru but when we did the Vacation Bible School it rained a lot. We didn´t expect that but everything turned out okay. The people from Koinonia Surco used plastic garbage bags to avoid getting too wet and then just kept ministering. The children showed up just the same and the event was a great blessing for everyone involved. In my opinion, it turned out even better than we expected. The children learned, the group ministered with a lot of unity and the name of the Lord was glorified. It was great to see how the women from the neighborhood participated too. They´re understanding the word of the Lord a little more each time we go. Keep praying for Ica and for La Tinguiña.

El Grupo Acaba de Salir. The Group Just Left.

El grupo misionero de Koinonia Surco acaba de salir de la iglesia. Ya está en camino a Ica donde van a ministrar 3 días. Estamos orando por ellos. Dios mediante, estaremos subiendo fotos al blog en estos días para que puedan ver lo que está pasando. Yo (Brian) voy mañana y el jueves intentaré escribir algunas noticias aquí.

The missionary group from Koinonia Surco just left from the church on their way to Ica. They´ll be ministering there three days. We´re praying for them. God willing, we´ll be putting pictures on the blog these days to let you see what´s happening. I (Brian) will be going tomorrow and I'll try to write something news on Thursday as well.

Escuela Bíblica de Verano en Ica. Vacation Bible School in Ica

El día de mañana un grupo de Koinonia Surco estará viajando a Ica para comenzar tres días de ministerio. Estarán dictando clases de la Escuela Bíblica de Verano dos veces al día. Las mañanas estarán en la ciudad y en las tardes en La Tinguiña. En las noches van a estar libres para ministrar donde Dios quiera. Oren por ellos. Estarán de regreso a Lima el viernes en la noche.

A group from Koinonia Surco will be travelling to Ica tomorrow where they'll begin three days of Vacation Bible School teaching. They'll be teaching class twice a day. In the mornings they'll be in the city and in the afternoons in La Tinguiña. The evenings will be dedicated to ministering wherever God leads them. Pray for them. They'll be returning late Friday evening.
