Canta, Los Andes Perú. Canta, Andes Mountains Peru

I took this photo in Obrajillo, near Canta

We´re back from Canta. We had a nice time there. I have a dream of putting a missionary base in the area to be able to reach out to the people in the mountains of Lima with the gospel. There are a lot of little towns that don´t have a Christian church yet. Would you pray with me about this?

Las Ovejas. The Sheep

This picture is of Ana and Priscilla with the sheep. It reminds me of the time I saw a shepherd returning from the fields with about 3o sheep. He opened the front door of his house and the 30 sheep went right in! I saw that once in Canta too. A shepherd is never far from his sheep. The Lord is our shepherd

Los Caballos. The Horses

A trip to Canta isn´t complete without a horseback ride. At least that´s what Marco thinks.

El Puente de Piedras. The Bridge of Stones

El Puente fue construido por los Incas. Aquí estamos encima.
The Bridge was built by the Incas. Here we are on top.

El Agua Del Rio. The River Water

¡Estaba helada!

Anna and Marco put their feet in the water. It was cold!

Se Vende Un Terreno. A Piece of Land for Sale

We found a piece of land for sale. I took these pictures to remember the telephone number. The for sale sign is a rock with the number painted on it. Can you read the numbers?

El Campo Verde. The Green Countryside

We took this picture on the way to a little town we wanted to visit. We asked a young woman that was walking along, "How much farther to the next town?" She told us, "twenty minutes" with her quechua accent. We drove for about 40 minutes when we came upon an old man and we asked him how much farther it was to the next town. He told us, "about 30 minutes in car." The people of the countryside don´t use watches and so it´s almost a waste of time to even ask how much longer. The one nice thing about it is that it does give you good memories and the people are awesome. "Click" on the picture to see it better. The countryside here is beautiful.
